  • In clinical studies conducted with patients suffering from hip and knee osteoarthritis, patients given PIASCLEDINE® noticed improvements in symptoms within only one month and were less likely to resume non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) therapy after only six weeks of treatment. PIASCLEDINE® was also shown to reduce pain and improve function after only two months of treatment.

Q: How and when should I take PIASCLEDINE® capsules?

  • One capsule of PIASCLEDINE® should be taken once a day during a meal with a glass of water.

Q: Is PIASCLEDINE® known to interact with other drugs?

  • No, PIASCLEDINE® does not have any reported drug-drug interactions and is safe to take with other medication.  PIASCLEDINE® has been available in France for more than 24 years and to date there have been no known drug-drug interactions.

Q: Is PIASCLEDINE® known to have any side effects?

  • PIASCLEDINE® is usually very well tolerated, however, some patients may experience side effects. Lipid-scented regurgitation may occur, but can be prevented by taking capsules during a meal. Also, some patients may experience mild gastrointestinal side effects which tend to resolve spontaneously. Rarely, patients may experience hyper-sensitivity reactions or elevations of liver enzymes.

Q: Can I take PIASCLEDINE® if I am pregnant or breast feeding?

  • PIASCLEDINE® has not been evaluated during pregnancy or breast feeding.

Q: How is PIASCLEDINE® different from the other joint medication I see at the pharmacy?

  • PIASCLEDINE® ’s unique and proven dual mode of action prevents cartilage breakdown and stimulates cartilage repair.

Q: Why should I not take just anti-inflammatories for my osteoarthritis?

  • Anti-inflammatories can cause life-threatening side effects such as bleeding from the stomach and intestines, as well as heart and kidney side effects.  In addition, they may worsen osteoarthritis by retarding the healing process.

Q: Is PIASCLEDINE® safe to use with Warfarin?
